Am IAMAS-Institut in Ogaki entwickelte ich
einen Prototypen, welcher die Eigenschaften
der sensitiven Oberfläche und den Umgang
mit dem Objekt im Raum beschreibt. Dabei
ist das Objekt zusammengesetzter Teile.
Weitere Details entstehen in der Weise,
wie das Objekt auf die Bewegungen der
Hände reagiert und wie diese Wirkung
nach außen mittels Licht abgegeben
wird. Es ist klar, daß eine technische
Lösung unzureichend ist, um die
Veränderung zu verstehen, welche
die Bevölkerung in der Minamata-
Region erleben musste.
Die Soshisha-Organisation
fragt nach dem Umgang mit
sozialen und ökologischen
Verschiebungen.
With my research at iamas-Institute, supervised
by Christa Sommerer and Laurent Mignonneau,
I developed a prototype for light capturing and
emitting. In the future the object will be sensitive
to people*s gestures. Furthermore the object
will memorize the movements people had
made during all time, now re-activated.
I am sure, that an only technical solution is
totally insufficient dealing and discussing
the changes, which the citizens of the
region of Minamata had to go through.
It is necessary to keep in mind, that
Minamata-desease is a desaster,
and it is something, where the
Soshisha-Organisation can
ask, what could we change in
future to prevent a social and
environmental desaster.
