Die Tage in Minamata sind eine Annäherung
an das Geschehene. Aber keine wirkliche
Erfahrung. Ich konnte Geschichten
sammeln, hatte aber keine direkte
Kommunikation mit den Einheimischen.
Ich habe Fotos gemacht. Panoramabilder
in schwarzweiss, von Menschen,
die oft der Kamera zugewandt sind.

The days in Minamata were offering an
opportunity for a contact to the
inhabitants. I could collect my
own stories, but this was no
real contact. Within the
time I made panoramic
black-and-white photos,
where the people were
turning their faces to
the camera. But
communication
goes beyond.
