Mir war klar geworden, dass ich keinen Behälter,
kein inhaltsloses tool konstruieren wollte, in
das andere ihren Inhalt einfügen. Meine
Arbeit hatte auch einen Wandel von der Installation
zum Objekt erfahren. Das Objekt sollte auf die
persönliche Geste reagieren. Ganz eigen und
individuell. Zudem wusste ich jetzt, dass ich
viel mehr abstrahieren musste, um ein
persönliches Bild zu finden. Dass nicht alles
aufgezeichnet und gesammelt werden
muss, um etwas (über Minamata)
herauszufinden. So wie viele Künstler
jetzt mit der gesammelten Bilderflut
arbeiten, mit Überwachungskameras,
wollte ich nicht arbeiten. Es hätte
zuviel Information gegeben
und keinen persönlichen
Ansatz, keine eigene
Auswahl oder
Entscheidung.
I recognized that I don*t wanted to construct
a tool without a content, where other people
could insert any content or not. I could develop
a complex aesthetical appearance of my
work, which turned from an installation
into an object. This object is reacting
to gestures of a person, the movement
of human in space. Additional I understood,
that I had to make it simplier, that my
personal image of the work should
become representable and
concentrated. Although artists are
working with the today*s overfloating
availability of images, I miss a
personal view and selection
of material.
